Heh. I had this thought running through my head the whole day in college. I had to get home and start drawing. MY HANDS WERE ITCHING! Been trying plushies poses for Samus Master Chief in my many utterly weird doodles, and they are going pretty well.
This took about oh... 5 hours, to be honest probably longer but I have no watch here. But it is pretty late here in the Uk >.o I had to get all done tonight. I <3 those kind of images that you HAVE to complete....like a video game?
I hope you like it, I really am proud of myself. It's the beginning of a better artist.
P.S done with a ditigal graphics tablet and the Fireworks programe.
Chief wouldn't be affected by a Metroid, and Samus wouldn't be affected by flood.
Can't say the same for other FPS...

If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.
I forgot about that, but then again Chief is from a different video game. So maybe he wouldn't be affected, maybe his over-shield could protect him.
But then again it may not. We'll never know for sure, unless they have a cross over game. XD

Shields don't stop them from latching onto Samus, though the shields stop the metroid from consuming Samus' life energy (literally), at least until it consumes all of Samus' shield energy.
So Chief would probably be affected the same way Samus is then?

Yeah, it would drain the shields, then once done there it drains life energy.
actually.. .... maybe armorlock could do something... It's not explained why Morphball bombs dislodge metroids. whether it's from the explosive force forcing the mouth off from the interior or perhaps just choking on the sudden energy intake.. I think Armorlock just Miiight do it if it was either of those conditions.
Can't be certain though. though, cannically chief's never had armorlock, and in Halo 4 they have armor abilities, but Armorlock isn't in the game. *shrug*

Bubble shield? nothing. the bubble shield only stops fast moving projectiles, a metroid would just float through it.
Though, it might present a distraction, as Metroid's consume energy, they may very well suck on the shield till it disappears. but they tend to prefer living prey too shields, as in Metroid prime the metroids typically go for the unshielded, flesh exposed Space pirates before they go for you.
Ultimately with his known gear he can't fight a typical metroid without some hefty amount of firepower or some way to freeze the metroids, He'll be forced to flee. Though, in a rather clever Fan-fiction of a cross-over I've been reading, they have at one point modified flame throwers that have liquid nitrogen tanks in order too combat metroids. wasn't as effective as Samus' ice beam and pretty much took two guys using teamwork (one for the ice-thrower, one with explosives), but it works.

even by metroids standards only Chozo tech allows you to dislodge their energy sucking maw.
But then again it may not. We'll never know for sure, unless they have a cross over game. XD

They eat energy, all types.
